Rev. Dr. John V.  DiSalvo
Rev. Dr. John V. DiSalvo, 86, of Newville, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, in UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg.

He was born June 8, 1934 in Buffalo, NY. John was a son of the late Stephen and Mary (Buccirose) DiSalvo.

John was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He pastored churches in New York and Pennsylvania and was locally affiliated with the Christian Missionary Alliance Churches in Springtown and Lees Crossroads. John earned education degrees from Buffalo College and Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburg, IN, where he received his Bachelors, Masters & Doctorate of Sacred Theological Degrees. John wrote courses for Covington Bible College and Seminary, Fort Oglethorpe, GA.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Priscilla J. (Potter) DiSalvo, who passed away February 27, 2006; his second wife, Sandra Kaye (Franklin) DiSalvo, who passed away December 5, 2014; two brothers; and one sister.

John is survived by four daughters, Mary Ellen DiSalvo and Laurel A. Farley and her husband Levi, all of WA, Susan A. Walker and her husband Richard of Shippensburg and Lisa C. Horne of Sellersville; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 18, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Officiating will be Pastor Dale Detweiler. Burial with military honors conducted by the Minute Men of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Shippensburg, will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
