Knowing that Buck loved the outdoors it definitely seems appropriate to plant a tree! Jean Shoop Shelly

Buck was a dear dear friend. I always thought Buck was a family member because to a little Shoop girl, he was always around the farm. Didn't really make any difference that he was our hired man because he always felt like part of the family. When I moved away, it was comforting knowing that there was a second pair of eyes looking over on that farm on the hill and making sure Dick and Leora were kinda looked after. Buck always kept in touch with me and always wanted to know about my growing family and various dogs. He always helped Mom and Dad when asked and when Mother was at a facility he went every Monday to bring her goodies, flowers and the latest news from Middle Spring. Today is a sad day because remembering Buck and putting it into words seems so trivial compared to the sweet kind man that he was. The phone calls from him have ended but the wonderful memories will continue to flourish in my heart.
