Obituary for Alex Daniel Comp
Alex Daniel Comp, 30, of Shippensburg, went to be with our Lord unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 17th, 2021.
Born June 13th 1990 in Carlisle, he was a son of Robert and Kathleen Murphy Riess, Shippensburg and his father Randy Comp, Carlisle.
Alex was a kind soul who loved his family and had a strong faith in God. He enjoyed Steelers football and watching the Golden Girls. He was close to his cousin Chelsi Crozier, Cassidy Miller and Crystal Piper and Uncle Al to Mia and Brantley. He was loved dearly by his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by five brothers, Justin R. Riess, Chad R. Bayer, Danny and Marcus T. Cross, and Matthew Shifflett, all of Waynesboro; and paternal grandfather, Donald Swain, of Carlisle, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his brothers, Zachary Comp and Brian Shifflett, paternal grandfathers, Raymond Comp, and Jack W. Riess, Sr. Paternal grandmother Elaine Swain; maternal grandparents, Lester and Edna Stouffer, and maternal great grandmother, Alice Mahon.
Services for Alex will be private and held at the discretion of the family.
