Obituary for William O. Taylor
William O. Taylor, 85, of Chambersburg, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born Friday, October 29, 1937 in McConnellsburg, PA. William was a son of the late Walter R. and Clara Viola Ott Taylor.
He was a member of the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church, Chambersburg and was a United States Air Force Veteran. Bill also was a member of the Cumberland Valley Lodge # 315 F&AM, Scottish Rite Club, Harrisburg Consistory, Valley Forest # 145 Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223. He was a 1956 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School and was a life member of both the C.V. Hose Company and the Vigilant Hose Company. He was retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot.
He is survived by four cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. Dr. Andy Hart. Burial with military honors conducted by the Minutemen of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 will be held in the Union Cemetery,
McConnellsburg. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
