Vera (Barton) Koser, 92, of Chambersburg, passed from this life to her eternal home with her Lord and Savior on April 19, 2021. Vera was a 23-year resident at the Chambers Pointe campus of Menno Haven retirement community, and previously lived in Shippensburg. She grew up in Crystal Springs, PA.

Vera is survived by John, her loving husband of 75 years, and three sons: Gary (Jane) of Fayetteville, PA; Alan (Kimberly) of Upper St Clair, PA; and Mark (Cindy) who is overseas. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Tracy (Lance) Walker of Chambersburg; John Tyler (Tina) Koser of Phoenix, AZ; Allison Koser of Gibsonia, PA; Rebecca (Joshua) Eisenhardt of Winter Garden, FL; and Joshua Koser who is overseas. She is also survived by great grandchildren Darra, Nathan, Kierran, Jack and Charlotte, as well as sisters Marjorie Palmer and Faye (Walter) Hann, both of Chambersburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Vera was born June 10, 1928 in Crystal Springs, PA to the late Ross and Marden Barton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy, brothers Robert and Clyde, and one grandson. Vera was an active church member in various capacities during her life in the Church of God in Shippensburg and Greenvillage. She also served in various volunteer capacities during her residence at Chambers Pointe. Vera was an expert seamstress and worked at L’Aiglon Dress Co and other clothing factories in Shippensburg over many years while raising her family. She was always ready to go for long walks and liked working in her garden.
