Obituary for Thomas K. "Pap" Myers Sr.
Thomas K. “Pap” Myers, Sr., 86, of Shippensburg, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at home.
He was born Saturday, August 25, 1934 in Chambersburg, PA. Thomas was a son of the late Oscar and Esther (Keefer) Myers.
Thomas retired from Ingersoll Rand, Shippensburg. He was a past Scoutmaster of Troop #117, Lees Cross Roads. Thomas enjoyed almost everything outdoors as he was an avid outdoorsman and hunter.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Oscar Myers, Jr., Richard Myers, Robert Myers and Billy Myers and one sister, Letha Leedy.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lenetta M. (Oppel) Myers, five children, Thomas K. Myers, Jr. and his wife Queena, Lowanda M. Bard, Wendell K. Myers, Sr. and his wife Donna, Roger D. Myers and Hope E. McKee and her husband Eric all of Shippensburg, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jack and Rodney Myers both of Shippensburg, three sisters, Betts Graham of Newville, Marie Frey of Carlisle and Arlene McDole of Sparta, TN and a numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. Brent Liechty. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
