Obituary for Robert W. Shoemaker
Robert W. Shoemaker, 55, of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at home.
He was born February 20, 1966 in Chambersburg, PA. Robert was a son of Linda L. (Shearer) Somers and Walter C. Somers both of Shippensburg and was preceded in death by his father, Wayne E. Shoemaker.
He was a fork-lift operator at the former Ingersoll Rand and then worked at Keen Transportation in Shippensburg. Robert was a United States Army Veteran and was a 1984 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Linda (Barner) Killian Shoemaker; two daughters, Stacey N. Fetterhoff and her husband Andrew of Chambersburg and Megan B. Shoemaker and her companion, Owen Dechene of Newville; one step daughter, Sierra E. Killian and her companion, Kenny Harrison of Shippensburg; three grandchildren, Brandon, Zachary and Kylee Fetterhoff; one sister, Charity Fry and her husband Colby of Shippensburg; one niece, Mia Fry and one nephew, Drew Fry; a special uncle, Barry Shearer of Shippensburg; and numerous other uncles and aunts.
Memorial graveside services will be held Monday, March 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Spring Hill Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. Officiating will be Pastor Dan Reed.
