Obituary for Robert L. Martin

Robert L. Martin, 75, of Chambersburg, passed away the afternoon of Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born on September 3, 1946 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Clarence Robert and Thelma Louise (Gettel) Martin.

Robert was a self-employed dairy farmer in Chambersburg. He and his wife, Patsy, started their farm in 1974. Together, with family, they grew the farm to what it is today. His legacy will be continued with the next generation.

Robert loved tractor pulling and his four John Deere Pro Stock tractors. He was a competitor with the National Tractor Pullers Association and the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League. He loved traveling to new places to pull and all of the friends he made along the way.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy A. (Horn) Martin; two sons, Bobby (Wendy) Martin and Josh (Brandi) Martin; two grandsons, Cody (Quinn) Martin and Christopher Hammond; one great-granddaughter, Adalynn Martin; two brothers, Ray (Gloria) Martin and Garry (Vicki) Martin; and two sisters, Ruth Bradley and Peggy Porter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Martin.

A public viewing will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. Graveside services will be privately held in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date and time.
