Obituary for Richard L. "Rich" Runyon
Richard L. “Rich” Runyon, 72, of Newburg, passed away the morning of Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born on September 12, 1950 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Clement L. and Anna Jean (Rotz) Runyon, Sr.
Rich was a proud and dedicated self-employed farmer, who enjoyed hauling livestock. He was also a member of the Minnequa Social Club, Shippensburg.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda L. (May) Runyon; four children, Denise (David) Ommert, Deirdre (Shawn) Peters, Loretta (Matt) Roschel, and Jay Runyon, Sr.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Jack (Sharon) Runyon, Nancy (Bill) King, Lucy Runyon, and Nick Runyon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Clement Runyon, Jr.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or service at this time.
