Obituary for Paul H. "PJ" Karper Jr.
Paul H. “PJ” Karper, Jr., 56, of 131 Brumbaugh Ave., Chambersburg, died July 30, 2022.
He was born on April 17, 1966 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Paul H. Karper, Sr. and Joanne Schwenk Karper.
PJ was a 1984 graduate of Shippensburg Area Senior High School. He also graduated from Shippensburg University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Library Science. He was employed at the Chambersburg Walmart for the past 18 years. He was also a member of the Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring.
He is survived by one brother, Glenn E. (wife Jodi) Karper of Chambersburg; one niece, Elizabeth of Mechanicsburg; and one nephew, Brendan, of Chambersburg.
A viewing will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. The memorial service will be conducted in the Chapel of the Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with The Rev. Dr. Andy Hart officiating. There will be no viewing the day of the service. A graveside service will immediately follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
