Obituary for Patricia Ann "Patty" Shaffer
Patricia Ann “Patty” Shaffer, 63, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the evening of Thursday, January 6, 2022, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on September 10, 1958, in Chambersburg, the daughter of Nancy (Mathna) Piper and the late Robert Shoemaker. Patty was a 1976 graduate of Shippensburg Area High School.
Patty worked in the warehouse fulfillment and distribution industry. She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and she loved cats, of which she had nine. Patty was a member of the Shippensburg area social clubs and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with all of her family and friends.
In addition to her mother, Patty is survived by two children, Alexandra and Austen Hricisak; her brother, Rick Shoemaker and wife Elizabeth of Newville; one half-brother; two half-sisters; and a good friend, Randy Robinson.
In addition to her father, Patty was preceded in death by a half-brother.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or funeral service. Interment in Mongul cemetery will also be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter.
