Obituary for Patricia A. Haywood (Peters)
Patricia A. Haywood, 74, of Shippensburg, passed away the afternoon of Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born on Thursday, December 12, 1946 in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Cleadis E. and Vivian J. (Miller) Peters, Jr.
Patricia was employed as an administrative assistant for the U.S. Department of Defense at Fort Detrick, MD for 33 years.
She enjoyed reading, playing slot machines at casinos, and spending time with her family. She also loved to travel, especially to Walt Disney World.
She is survived by one daughter, Melanie A. (Bryan) Barber of Shippensburg; two grandsons, Zachary and Luke Barber; one sister, Suzanne (Harry) Hoch; one brother, Jeffrey (Carol) Peters; four nieces and nephews, Matthew (Serenity) Hoch, Stephanie Hoch, Kip (Jennifer) Peters, and Cleadis (Anabelis) Peters; and many great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. Pastor Rodney Bistline will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
