Obituary for Norlynn Renee John
Norlynn Renee John, 69, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at her home.
Born Monday, November 3, 1952 in Flint, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late John Schupe and Barbara J. Morettes.
Norlynn was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. She worked as a Computer Security Specialist at Letterkenny Army Depot.
She was a member and past Commander of the Burt J. Asper American Legion Post # 46, Chambersburg, and also was the American Legion’s State Historian for two years.
Norlynn was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and loved and cherished her family, especially her granddaughter.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert E. John whom she married October 6, 1974; one son, Dustin Robert John, Shippensburg; one daughter, Jessica Lea John, Chambersburg; one granddaughter, Elaina L. John, Chambersburg; one brother, James (wife Cammi) Berridge, Phoenix, AZ, one sister, Beth Berridge, Austin, TX.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Melissa Berridge.
A celebration of Norlynn’s life will be held and announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 897 Hershey, PA 17033.
