Obituary for Naomi Mae Holtry (Swartz)
Naomi Mae Holtry, 90, of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Paramount Senior Living in Fayetteville, PA.
Born Saturday, May 14, 1932 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Frances Dunlap Swartz.
Naomi was a member of the Ridge Church of the Brethren and their Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was also a Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years. Naomi retired as a seamstress from the former Greif Company.
She is survived by one daughter, Melody M. (Harley) Mills, McKnightstown; one brother, Kenneth Swartz, Shippensburg; two sisters, Janet Mose and Joyce Bender, both of Shippensburg; her daughter in-law, Brenda Holtry, Chambersburg; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce L. Holtry who passed away June 18, 2010; one son, Larry B. Holtry who passed away January 22, 2023; one brother, Paul Swartz; and two sisters, Martha Spear and Betty Young.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ridge Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Leon Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Ridge Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
