Obituary for Matthew Luke Sholley
Matthew Luke Sholley, 43, of Shippensburg, passed away the afternoon of Monday, February 13, 2023 at Aventura at Prospect.
He was born on May 12, 1979 in Lebanon, a son of the late Kenneth Sholley and Elaine (Boltz) Weidman.
Matt worked as a computer technician for MEMO Financial Services, Camp Hill. He served in the National Guard for four years. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially kayaking and hiking. Matt loved computers, gaming, and watching movies.
He is survived by six siblings, Michele (Art) Clagett, Melanie (Andrew) Reich, Keith Weidman, Melissa (Kevin) Sullivant, Joel Weidman, and Katie (Jesse Hill) Knowles; and a nephew, Dakota Muich.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather who helped raise him, Larry Weidman.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Otterbein Cemetery. Pastor Bruce Levy will officiate. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Matt’s service will be in conjunction with his father, Larry Weidman’s service at Otterbein Cemetery.
