Obituary for Marie F. Delancy (Mackey)
Marie F. Delancy, 92, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
She was born Wednesday, February 26, 1930 in Letterkenny Township, Franklin County, PA. Marie was a daughter of the late Levi R. and Grace A. Wauls Mackey.
She was a member of the Green Spring First Church of God, Newville. Marie drove school bus and retired from Lee McBeth and Sons. Prior to driving bus, she worked at the Stanley Company and Tracey Fashions and farmed with her husband. Marie enjoyed sewing, making clothing for herself, being outside and working outdoors around the house, and family gatherings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband on August 19, 2008, Mac G. Delancy whom she married February of 1949. A brother, Ray Mackey also is deceased.
Marie is survived by one son, Garry L. Delancy and his wife Delores of Shippensburg; two grandchildren, Kyle Delancy and his wife Michelle of Needmore and Erin Hummer and her husband, Robert of Shippensburg; two great-grandchildren, Calison and Ireland; and one sister, Janet Bingamen and her husband George of Chambersburg.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Hornbaker. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
