Obituary for Lavana Louise Brechbiel (Graham)
Lavana Louise Brechbiel, 84, of Chambersburg, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Shook Home, Chambersburg, PA.
Born Sunday, February 21, 1937 in Philipsburg, Centre County, she was a daughter of the late William James and Esther Louise Fulton Graham.
She graduated with the class of 1955 from Big Spring High School. Lavana retired in 1999 from the Shippensburg Area School District as the Superintendent Secretary. She was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God.
She enjoyed gardening and crafts.
Lavana is survived by one daughter, Kathy J. (Terry) Bennett, Aurora, CO; two sons, Ricky L. (Rita) Brechbiel, and Jeffrey L. (Candi J.) Brechbiel, Shippensburg; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and three brothers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. “Benny” Brechbiel and one brother, Byll Graham.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shippensburg First Church of God, with Pastor Gary Hornbaker officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., and one hour prior to the service in the church.
