Obituary for Larry Alan Wiest

Larry Alan Wiest, 57, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Monday, April 18, 2022, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.

He was born on May 20, 1964, in Harrisburg, a son of Patricia (Stine) Ott and the late Eugene Wiest.

Larry worked hard throughout his entire life. He did some farming, worked at Allen Distribution and Volvo, and was currently employed at the Walmart Distribution center in custodial services.

In his free time, Larry loved to wrench on cars and motorcycles. Those who knew him well, knew Larry as the master wheeler and dealer. He was always on the lookout for his next car to enter into demolition derbies. Number fourteen was Larry’s number. He also loved dirt track racing and raced mini-stock at the former Shippensburg Speedway and he loved driving on the endurance track at Williams Grove. Larry liked watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR, and also enjoyed hunting.

In addition to his mother, Larry is survived by his fiancé, Kimberly Little; daughters, Tammy Stouffer, Heather Eagan, Ashley Wiest, and Janice Wiest; his son, Kenneth Wiest; grandchildren, Mackenzie Stouffer, Anthony Stouffer, Kaine Tasker, Everly Eagan, Kadence Eagan, Rilee Wiest, Mia Wiest, and Axel Wiest; siblings, Cindy Coldsmith, Gayle Pike, Douglas Stine, Joann Hosfelt, and Sharon Stine; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his father.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Bruce Levy will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Saturday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray final expenses.
