Obituary for Karl A. Rabuck
Karl A. Rabuck, 87, of Newburg, departed this life in the morning of Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at his home.
He was born on September 19, 1935, in Harrisburg, the son of the late Harvey C. and Florence B. (Koch) Rabuck. He married Janet C. (Spero) Commerer on January 23, 2001, in Shippensburg.
Karl was a United States Air Force veteran enlisting on February 24, 1958 and honorably discharged on July 31, 1980. He served for twenty-six years, retiring as a SMSgt jet engine mechanic. After retiring from his Air Force career, Karl enjoyed golfing.
In addition to his wife of twenty-two years, Janet, he is survived by one son, Eric Rabuck, of New Cumberland; two step-children, Rodney S. Commerer and wife Melinda of Fayetteville and Loren K. Commerer and wife Kristina of Shippensburg; two grandchildren, Alexander Rabuck of New Cumberland and Samantha Luvison of Dillsburg; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Karl was preceded in death by his sister and his daughter Ramona Rabuck.
His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or funeral service. Interment will also be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Newburg First Church of God.
