Obituary for John "Buddy" Baughman Jr.
John “Buddy” Baughman, Jr., 85 of Shippensburg, passed away February 5, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born Thursday, December 10, 1936 in Shippensburg, PA. John was the son of the late John H. and Cora Belle Irene Holtry Baughman.
He retired in 1992, after being a brick mason most of his career, but never stopped being a Mr. Fixit! John was a kind, gentle, and generous man. His sense of humor made everyone he met feel safe and cared for.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Darlene Wyrick and Martha Reed.
John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sandra J. Mowery Baughman; two daughters, Kathy L. (Jeff) Wenger and Kristine A. (Jeff) Hockenberry, all of Shippensburg; four grandchildren, Megan (Greg) Clelan, Jonathan Wenger, Emily (Scott) Crist and Heather (John) Hockenberry; one sister, Phyllis A. Minor of Shippensburg; nine great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Lilliana, Liam, Caleb, Levi, Colton, Daniel, Micaiah, and Asher.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Officiating will be Pastor John W. Shadle. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Chambersburg. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services on Thursday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Prince Street United Brethren Church, 17 N. Penn St., Shippensburg, PA 17257.
