Obituary for Jeremy S. Thompson
Jeremy S. Thompson, 44, of Chambersburg, departed this life on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at his home.
He was born on January 16, 1979, in Chambersburg, the son of the late Steven F. Thompson and Sherry M. (Kunkleman) Sanders. His step-father John D. Sanders survives him.
Jeremy worked at OSI in Chambersburg. He loved his job at OSI and was a very dedicated employee for many, many years. Jeremy loved cooking and was an animal lover throughout his life. He also enjoyed watching sports. Jeremy was always a pretty big homebody, but traveled to Ireland in recent years, and really enjoyed the trip and his time in Ireland.
In addition to his step-father, John D. Sanders of Orrstown, Jeremy is survived by four aunts, Deborah Diehl and husband Larry of Shippensburg, Donna James and husband Douglas of Chambersburg, Arlene Bolen of South Carolina, and Marilyn Thomas and husband Tom of Chambersburg; one uncle, Donald Bolen and wife Tulay of Shippensburg; and numerous cousins.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his biological parents and one aunt, Karen (Tom) Johnston.
The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, has been entrusted with his funeral arrangements. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. His memorial service and interment will be private, at a future date and time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter.
