Obituary for Irvin S. Thrush Jr.
Irvin S. Thrush, Jr., 58, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, departed this life on the morning of Sunday, May 14, 2023, at his home.
He was born on January 7, 1965, in Chambersburg, PA, a son of Irvin Thrush, Sr., and the late Lynda (Reath) Thrush.
Irvin worked the majority of his life in the construction industry, but most recently drove truck, delivering propane for Griffith Energy Services, Inc., Charlestown, WV. In his free time Irvin enjoyed riding his motorcycle, golf, and hunting, both archery and rifle.
He is survived by his son, Joshua C. Thrush of Harrisburg; his daughter, Jessica A. Thrush of Chambersburg; his sister, Tondra Thrush of Shippensburg; his brother, Eric Thrush of Perkasie; and 5 nieces and nephews.
Irvin was preceded in death by his mother.
His memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at The Open Door Church, Chambersburg. Pastor Mike Sanders will officiate. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday morning at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to either The Open Door Church or the American Cancer Society.
