Gordon P. Murray, 71, of Shippensburg, formally of Spring Run, passed away the evening of Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born on September 19, 1951 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Robert H. and Lois Ann (Clippinger) Murray.

Gordon loved to go hunting and was a member of the Dry Run American Legion Post #232. He was also a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wanda K. (Wagaman) Murray; two children, Jason (Melissa) Murray and Clayton (Casey) Murray; five grandchildren, Ashlynn (Dylan) Winsett, Laynie Murray, Zachary Murray, Nathan Murray, and Jacob Murray; several nieces and nephews; and one great-grandson on the way.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Murray.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or service. Gordon will be privately laid to rest in the Strang Cemetery, South Mountain.
