Obituary for Glenn K. Sites

Glenn K. Sites, 88, of Orrstown, departed this life on the afternoon of Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the Shippensburg Health Care Center.

He was born on April 27, 1934, in Chambersburg, a son of the late Charles M. and Ruth M. (Killian) Sites and step-mother, Nellie Sites. Glenn married Susan M. Cover on June 28, 1952. She preceded him in death on June 7, 2022.

Glenn worked as a machinist at the former Hoffman Mills for forty six years. He was a longtime member of the Messiah United Methodist Church, Shippensburg.

In his younger years, Glenn enjoyed golfing and bowling. He and Susan loved to camp and went on many, many camping trips all over the United States with the family. When at home, Glenn always liked being outside and tending to his yard. After retiring, he looked forward to meeting up with the group of guys to have breakfast at several different restaurants in Shippensburg and Chambersburg. Glenn especially enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by a son, Rick Sites and wife Judy of Shippensburg; granddaughter, Lenzee Johnston and husband Justin of Daytona Beach, FL; grandson, Joshua Sites of Shippensburg; four great grandchildren, Tegin, Lana, Caynin, and Paisley Johnston, all of Daytona Beach, FL; sister, Bertha Mae Fry of Scotland; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and spouse, Glenn was preceded in death by a son, Glenn K. Sites, Jr.; and four siblings.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, February 13, 2023, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Monday morning at the funeral home.
