Obituary for Faye L. Over (Varner)
Faye L. (Varner) Over, 78, of Chambersburg, passed away the evening of Thursday, May 12, 2022 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born on July 2, 1943 in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Beattie C. and Almeda (Zinn) Varner.
Faye enjoyed listening to older country music. She loved and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, Frank R. (Sherry) Over III; three daughters, Bobbie L. Conover, Billie Jo (Chuck) Ponds, and Lisa D. (Darren) Overcash; seven grandchildren, Jacquelyn Conover, Danielle Conover, Trevor Ponds, Corey Over, Marissa Jones, Elizabeth Rohrbaugh, and Chloe Over; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Varner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Over, Jr. who passed away on August 22, 1992. Also preceding her in death are ten siblings, Freda Ferguson, Dorothy Sheaffer, Glenn, Russell, Richard, Rodney, Marlin, Galen, Lee, and Floyd Varner.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
