Obituary for Esther Elizabeth Weaver (Rudolph)
Esther Elizabeth (Rudolph) Weaver, 8777 Molly Pitcher Highway, Shippensburg, PA 17257, born January 28, 1929, died on September 18, 2022, at the age of 93 years, 7 months, and 21 days.
She was a member of Churchtown Mennonite Church. She was the daughter of Virlus F. and Susanna E. (Horst) Rudolph, and the wife of Chester C. Weaver, Sr.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons: Chester C. Jr. (Barbara), Itasca, TX, Ethan R. (Ruby), Newville, PA, Curtis A. (Janice), Carlisle, PA, and Nevin S. (Crystal), Carlisle, PA; two daughters: Rosemary (Dale) Heller, Metter, GA, and Edith (Jason) Lauver, Shippensburg, PA; three brothers: David, Smithsburg, MD, Noah, Carlisle, PA, and Paul, New Oxford, PA; two sisters: Mary (Galen) Hess, Dillsburg, PA, and Martha (Roy) Petre, Hagerstown, MD; 48 grandchildren; 108 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Amos, John, and Nathan; five sisters-in-law: Pauline Rudolph, Naomi Rudolph, Alice Rudolph, Esther Rudolph, and Rhoda Rudolph; and two grandsons: Nolan Lauver and Samuel Heller.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mountain View Mennonite Church with the Brethren John Brubaker, David Brubaker, Wilber Shank, and Wendell Eberly officiating. A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 in the Mountain View Mennonite Church from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Churchtown Mennonite Cemetery.
