Obituary for Elizabeth A. Clippinger

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Clippinger, 64, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born Wednesday, March 4, 1959 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, she was a daughter of the late Clifford Hobart and Gladys Marie Jones Clippinger.

Elizabeth was a 1977 graduate of the Shippensburg Area High School, and received her bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University.

Elizabeth worked as a Computer Specialist for the Federal Government in Washington D.C.
She was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God and a member of the Emmanuel Bible Church in Frederick, MD.

Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, Bible study, playing with and encouraging her nieces and nephews, hand-crafts, and maintaining friendships with many treasured friends.

She is survived by two sisters, Carol B. (Ralph) Baylor, of Newburg; and Virginia E. (Guy) Ruhl, of Reinholds, PA; Foster Mother, Maryann Fogelsanger, of Shippensburg; Foster Brother, Scott (Dani) Fogelsanger, of Harrisburg; Foster Sister, Candy (Ross) Perkinson, of Towson, MD; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11:00AM at the Shippensburg First Church of God, with Pastor Gary Hornbaker, and Pastors Linda & Edward Rosenberry officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
