Obituary for Doris F. Seibert (Florig)
Doris F. Seibert, 90, a resident of the Orrstown Personal Care Home, formerly of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Monday, March 13, 2023, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on November 10, 1932, in Shippensburg, the daughter of the late Lee and Ruth G. (Stevick) Florig. Doris was a 1950 graduate of Shippensburg High School. She married Donald L. Seibert on November 22, 1958, in Shippensburg. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2018.
Doris worked at the Letterkenny Army Depot for thirty-eight years, retiring in 1989 as a supervisor. She was a member of NARFE, Fort Morris AARP Chapter 3324, Shippensburg Civic Club, and delivered Meals on Wheels around the Shippensburg area with her late husband for many years. Doris was a longtime member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Shippensburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Seibert-Drager and husband Michael of Shippensburg and Lisa A. Miller and husband Dave of Spring Run; two grandsons, Daniel Miller and wife Amber and Travis Miller and wife Megan, both of Shippensburg; three great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Makenna, and Emma Miller all of Shippensburg, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Seavers, and her brother, Robert Florig.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Bruce Levy will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
