Obituary for Donna May Bender
Donna May Bender, 71, of Newville, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Chambersburg.
Born Sunday, April 24, 1949 in Hopewell Township, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Harold L. and Martha R. Johnson Bender.
Donna was a member of the New Testament Bible Baptist Church in Chambersburg.
She is survived by three brothers, Marshall H. Bender, Winston Salem, NC, Herman T. (Judy) Bender, Charleston, WV, and Joseph E. (Debra) Bender, Chambersburg; one sister, Elma C. (Roger) Byers, Newburg; one uncle; one aunt, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Patricia Paxton; two nieces and one great niece.
Funeral services have been postponed until Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with Pastor Marlin C. Fleck officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Testament Bible Baptist Church, 5444 Cumberland Highway, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
