Obituary for Donald L. "Don" Perry
Donald L. “Don” Perry, 67, of Shippensburg, PA entered into his heavenly home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born on February 21, 1956 in San Diego, CA. He was a son of the late Nelson L. Perry and Margaret L. Shank.
Don was employed at the Letterkenny Army Depot and retired in 2020. He was a member of the Living Faith Chapel in Shippensburg. Don loved his family very much and enjoyed taking his children to amusement parks as well as the beach. He supported them in their activities, including Boy Scouts, Robotics, and horseback riding through Reins of Rhythm Riding and Horsemanship.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Joanne (Post) Perry, and their two children, Matthew and Erin. Don had three siblings, Deborah Kay Henry, Diane L. (Randy) Monn, and David N. (Lisa) Perry, and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Nelson, and his in-laws, Vince and Norah Ellen Post.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Air Hill Cemetery. Pastor Eldon Martin and Pastor Ted Brant will officiate. There will be no public viewing.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Living Faith Chapel, 8770 Possum Hollow Road, Shippensburg. A time of visitation with the family will be held at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Reins of Rhythm Riding and Horsemanship or the SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care & Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
