Obituary for Dean Eldon Fullmer
Dean Eldon Fullmer, 88, of Newburg, passed away on his birthday, which was Friday, January 13, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born Sunday, January 13, 1935 in Berwick, Columbia County, PA, he was a son of the late Earl Leroy and Amy Uarda Marshall Fullmer.
Dean retired from Sunoco as a truck driver. He was a true horseman and had a deep love for all animals. He enjoyed farming and loved to help others anyway he could.
Dean married the love of his life on February 23, 1956, Patricia A. Eckert Fullmer, Newburg, he is also survived by one son, Bradford P. Fullmer, Newburg; two daughters, Darr A. Fullmer, Gettysburg, and Belinda K. (husband Russel) Baer, Newville; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Leslie Jo Byers, who passed away July 3, 2010.
Dean’s family would like to express a special thank you to PROMEDICA Heartland Hospice for the love and care they provided to Dean during his long illness.
A private graveside service will be held at Otterbein Cemetery.
