Obituary for Dawn Marie Busey (Rasy)
Dawn Marie (Rasy) Busey, 37, of Shippensburg, passed away the morning of Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her home.
She was born on February 2, 1985 in Staten Island, N.Y., a daughter of Wanda S. (Traynor) Rasy and the late George Danny Rasy, Sr.
Dawn enjoyed going to the ocean and taking trips to Punxsutawney on Groundhog Day for her birthday. She loved her children, especially taking them on hikes. Dawn loved the color pink and thought of herself as a Princess.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her three children, Blake, Carter, and Alex Busey; three siblings, Daniel (Shannon) Rasy, Suzette (Todd) Addison, and Marilyn (Russell) Christy; nieces and nephews like Chloe and Lille Rasy; co-parent, William Busey; as well as aunt, Denise Traynor.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by two siblings, Laura Rasy Woods and George D. Rasy, Jr.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg. Rev. Ben Dunkelberger will officiate. A visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at the church.
