Obituary for Chester A. Kling
Chester A. Kling, 86, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the evening of Friday, April 29, 2022, at his home.
He was born on September 24, 1935, in Oakville, a son of the late Albert and Ruth (Sites) Kling and married Darlene E. George on May 27, 1972, in Oakville.
Chester worked as a farm hand for Smithdale Farms for sixty years. He was a long-time member of the Oakville United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, Darlene, he is survived by one brother, Ronald L. Kling; and many nieces and nephews.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Margaret Beam, Lillian Kling, and Mildred Shannon.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Oakville United Methodist Church. Pastor Blanca Baker will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oakville United Methodist Church at 519 Oakville Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
