Obituary for Charles Flory Jr.
Charles Flory, Jr., 63, of Chambersburg, departed this life on the morning of Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at his home.
He was born on September 9, 1958, in Gettysburg, the son of the late Charles and Florence Joanne (Darr) Flory, Sr. Charles married Lori J. Donahue in May of 2021.
Charles at times worked in auto body repair and as a mechanic. He absolutely loved anything to do with automobiles and motorcycles. For the majority of his life, Charles enjoyed rebuilding and restoring old cars and trucks. He also loved to ride his Harley. Charles was most recently employed at JLG, Shippensburg, until his health started to decline.
In addition to his wife, Lori, he is survived by three children, Misty Trumble and husband Jeremy of Inwood, Virginia, Kristy Strait and companion Kyle Linville of Kendallville, Indiana, and Chuck Flory and companion Trina Ordway Swanson of Shippensburg; four sisters, Elizabeth D’Orsi of Chambersburg, Ruth Ann Kennedy of Greencastle, Betty Johns of Chambersburg, and Barb Boyd of Shippensburg; five grandsons; four granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews to whom he was close.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his first wife of thirty-three years, Lydia Bigler Flory; and a sister, Ellen Flory.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. There will be no public funeral service. Interment will also be private.
