Obituary for Carl E. Strite
Carl E. Strite, 57, of Chambersburg, departed this life on the evening of Saturday, April 10, 2021, at his home.
He was born on March 10, 1964, in Chambersburg, a son of the late Gerald and Esther (Crider) Strite and married Shirley J. Smith on October 15, 1994, at the Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church.
Carl had worked in facility maintenance at Schreiber Foods, Shippensburg, for the past twenty-five years. He was a member of the Gettysburg Foursquare Church, where he liked to volunteer for mission work within the United States. Carl was also known to be very handy, he enjoyed woodworking, and riding motorcycles.
In addition to his wife of twenty-seven years, Shirley, he is survived by his daughter, Kendra J. Strite of Fayetteville; three step-children, LaToshia Goodman of Nazareth, Joshua Nicholson of Shippensburg, and Keith Smith of Shippensburg; his grandson, Kayden Dague of Fayetteville; and three sisters, Deborah Sollenberger, Mary Bert, and Lois Strite.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents.
His funeral services, entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, will be private. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or funeral service. Carl will be laid to rest in the Zion Church of Christ Cemetery, Newburg.
