Obituary for Sandra L. Wyrick
Sandra L. Wyrick, 81, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully at her home on the evening of Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
She was born on February 5, 1940, in Newville, the daughter of the late Wally and Edith (Smith) Helman. Sandy married the love of her life, Jack M. Wyrick, on March 1, 1957, in Hagerstown, MD. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2008.
Sandy retired as a seamstress from the former U-Wanna-Wash Frock, Co., in Shippensburg. In her younger years, she enjoyed softball and volleyball and continued to enjoy watching high school sports throughout her life. Sandy loved being outdoors, working in her flower gardens and just doing yard work in general. She also liked to read, and especially care for and look after her dog Jackie.
She is survived by her son, Tracy Wyrick; her daughter, Lori Chamberlin and husband Mike; and her grandson, Hunter L. Chamberlin and wife Morgan, all of Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sandy was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Helman.
Sandy will be laid to rest alongside Jack during a private graveside service held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. Chaplain Karen Brown will officiate. There will be no public viewing or visitation prior.
