Obituary for Betty Katherine Weaver (Alleman)
Betty Katherine Weaver, 88, of Orrstown, departed this life on the evening of Saturday, March 13, 2021, at her home.
She was born on February 14, 1933, in Lurgan, a daughter of the late John and Mabel (Fields) Alleman and married Harold E. Weaver on April 20, 1950 in Frederick, MD.
Betty was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband on their family dairy farm. She very much enjoyed life on her farm and all the chores that came along with it; tending to the garden, cooking, baking, and canning. Betty will be remembered for the example that she set, by her dedication and work ethic, to life on the farm.
In addition to her husband of seventy-one years, Harold, she is survived by her daughter, Kimberly L. Fleming and husband Stephen of Shippensburg; her grandson, Steven Byers of Chambersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sons, Larry E. Weaver, who died on November 16, 2015 and Harold “Lanny” Weaver, who died on April 23, 2020; and five siblings.
Her graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 18, 2021, in the Pleasant Hall Cemetery. Pastor Philip E. Steele will officiate. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
