Obituary for Betsy A. Watson (Burns)
Betsy A. Watson, 80, of Shippensburg, passed away, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at home.
She was born April 23, 1941 in Chambersburg, PA. Betsy was a daughter of the late Bruce R. “Cider” and Evelyn “Etta” Koontz Burns.
Betsy retired from Pague & Fegan Hardware in Shippensburg. She was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church in Shippensburg. Betsy was a 1960 graduate of the former Shippensburg High School.
Betsy is survived by her husband, Harry Ray Watson; one brother, Robert R. Burns of Naples, FL; a daughter-in-law, Heidi Watson of Orrstown; two granddaughters, Abbie Rose and Sydney Grace Watson; and two step-daughters, Jane (Gary) Olsen and Susan Bolin. In addition to her parents, Betsy was preceded in death by one son, Daniel B. Watson who passed away June 22, 2011 and two brothers, Jimmy R. Koontz and H. Daniel Burns.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Officiating will be Pastor Marlin Butch Neil. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
