Obituary for Barbara Eileen "Barb" Statler (Rosenberry)
Barbara Eileen Statler, 77, of Shippensburg, died peacefully at home on Friday, November 4, 2022.
Born on February 23, 1945, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert S. and Dolores Allen Rosenberry.
Barb graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1963 and later went to work at the former Stanley Clothing Company for several years before becoming a homemaker in 1970. Later in life, she worked as a CNA at Menno Haven and as a private duty nurse’s aide for many elderly clients in the community.
She is survived by her son, Chad Statler, and granddaughter, Macayla, both of Holly Springs, NC, and her longtime companion, Ray Jenkins, of Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert A. Rosenberry, and sister, Diane M. Rosenberry.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Leesburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Jan Bye-Dickerson officiating. Barb will be privately laid to rest in the Methodist Cemetery, Upper Strasburg.
