Obituary for Barbara L. Kiser (Mooney)
Barbara L. (Mooney) Kiser, 72, of Chambersburg, passed away the morning of Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on Wednesday, March 16, 1949 in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Floyd and Hazel (Gilbert) Mooney.
Barbara worked at the Letterkenny Army Depot before retiring as a manager from the New Cumberland Army Depot. She enjoyed shopping, horses, family ballgames, and went to auctions on a regular basis. Barbara most of all cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Kimberly B. (John) Corro of State College, PA, Tina M. Shafer of Chambersburg, and Connie Rose (Mark) Davis of Wichita Falls, TX; one son, Alex R. (Heidi) Kiser of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, Rebecca (Carlos) Abirasniette, Cecelia Corro, and Oliver Corro; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Floyd (Shirley), John (Donna), Walter (Ruth Ann), and Bruce (Gretchen) Mooney; and five sisters, Jane (Phil) Pitzer, Mary Mooney, Nancy Martin, Bonnie Watt, and Connie (Terry) Faust.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lindberg Kiser, who passed away on September 13, 2013. Also preceding her in death are one sister, Betty Helm and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Rev. William Kauffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
