Obituary for Alana Joelle Shirk
Alana Joelle Shirk, 9 days old, of Newville, departed this life on the afternoon of Friday, February 24, 2023, at the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.
She was born on February 15, 2023, in Harrisburg, a daughter of Mervin R. and Alma Z. (Sensenig) Shirk of 2194 Pine Road, Newville, PA.
In addition to her parents, Alana is survived by one sister, Sheri Alise Shirk; paternal grandparents, Joe and Ellen Shirk of Newville; and maternal grandparents, Christ and Esther Sensenig of Shippensburg.
Alana’s funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023 at the Meadow View Old Order Mennonite Church, 169 Hair Road, Newville, PA 17241. The church ministry will officiate. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Her family kindly requests the omission of flowers.
