Obituary for Adam Wayne Dehoff
It is with great sadness that the family of Adam W. Dehoff, 27, most recently of Pigeon Forge, TN, announces his passing on Monday, February 22, 2021. His life was way too short, but the quality of his presence was unsurpassed. There was truly something very special about him.
Adam was born November 1, 1993 in Hagerstown, MD. He resided in Greencastle, PA and Shippensburg, PA before moving to Alabama. Adam was a graduate of the Class of 2012 at Smiths Station High School in Alabama. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the highest rank attainable as an Eagle Scout, upon the completion of a Prayer Garden project at Ladonia Baptist Church. Upon graduation, Adam entered the Army and was trained as a Combat Medic. While in the Army, Adam earned a National Defense Service Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and his Army Service Ribbon. Upon leaving the Army, he returned to Alabama and eventually relocated to Tennessee.
Adam enjoyed skateboarding, hiking, listening to music, creating music, playing video games and spending time with family and friends. He made friends with almost everyone he met, he had a huge heart, and was always willing to help anyone. He will be greatly missed, is loved by many, and touched countless people’s lives with his fun-loving attitude.
Adam will be lovingly remembered by his family. He was the son of Steven A. Dehoff, and wife Sue, of Shippensburg, PA and Julie D. Wynn, and husband Tim, of Germany. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings David Maisch and Rachel Dehoff of Shippensburg, and Ivan, Isabelle, Isaac, and Irwin Wynn of Germany. He is also survived by his grandmothers Lillie Houck of Hanover, PA, Jean Dice of Chambersburg, PA, and Juanita Wynn of Phenix City, AL, as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Wayne A. Dehoff, Marvin Houck, Dave and Margie Jacobs, Ralph F. Dice, Sr., and Jimmy B. Wynn.
Adam also had many special friends from throughout the United States and Europe that he adored and cherished.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. James O. Bolich will officiate. Military Honors will be conducted by the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223 Minutemen. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home and Crematorium, Shippensburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Boy Scouts of America-Chattahoochee Council or Wounded Warrior Project. The family also appreciates your prayers.
